Hey there.

Welcome to my portfolio, I’m James. I’ve been a hobby game developer for 5 years. As a game designer, programmer, Dungeon Master, and a sometimes NPC (larping) I think the most important element of a game is the player.

I’ve started more than 30+ projects and below are some of the most completed. I’m not able to fully express everything I’ve learned through developing games but I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment through this journey.

Completed Godot Tutorials

Discovering Godot

I found this tutorial on Udemy. It teaches Godot 3.1 by having the student complete 5 projects. The content is clear and easy to understand, and a little cute? I blame the intro music for that vibe.

Complete Godot 3D

This tutorial is on the GameDev.tv website. It has the student complete 4 projects. I focused on the Robo Rampage project, I was working on a 3rd person 3D game at the time. Viewports can do some weird things…

Godot 4 Multiplayer

Another GameDev.tv tutorial. I worked through this multiplayer tutorial for my Chess game.

Godotdocs

The godotdocs have a few tutorials you can work through. The three I did were:

  • Your first 2d game
  • Your first 3d game
  • Basic XR tutorial
